I'm sure everyone has seen at least one of these adverts recently for the Natural Confectionery Company...I think they're so funny simply because the sweets have been given personaltites without any need for animation/expression etc. Each advert has the same message - that the sweets have no artificial colours or flavours, but they are told in different comical(and extremely random) ways by the sweets. The adverts are very minimal and I suppose you could say natural...a perfect way to advertise the sweets. The website is similar...very simple, but funny, and gets the message across.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with you Jo...I find the ads a little too simple and almost a little embarrassing to watch. I don't know if it is anything specific but there is just something about this ad that I cannot bear to watch. I think simplicity, if you get it right, can be the best option to go for, but in this case I just don't think it works.
On the other hand I do see how it could appeal to not so much the children based audience, but the parents instead as I think the product itself is a good alternative to offer.
(I don't really think they taste the same though...have you tried any?)
I agree with you Jo, I've also included these in my blog, and I just found them hilarious. I want to buy some and reenact the adverts, although I think there are many people thinking the same thing as I can't get hold of the dinosaurs anywhere!
Em how can you not find a gummy bear shouting 'bring on the trumpets' not funny?..On the other hand why do I find it funny? Maybe it's my childish sense of humour. But at work 'Bring on the trumpets' is often shouted, especially when we're all stressed and it never fails to cheer us up.
I think they're funny because they're so random! Do you not think it's kind of clever how the adverts reflect the sweets...simple and natural?! But playful at the same time!
